Machines for Automation of Production Processes

Project funded by the Tuscany Region call for tenders n.2 Research and Development of PMI and with the collaboration of the Engineering Department of the University of Perugia and with the partners D.Electron and Pear of Florence

The COMEV SPA Company produces horizontal turning machines since 1958. The experience gained in many years of work, the continuous and constant research for product improvement, the advanced technology development, the collaboration with partners, and funding from the Tuscany Region have enabled the creation of the new CDR 20 _ OSCAR 2.0 machine.

The MAPP project is born from the will of COMEV and its partners to expand their product offering with innovative technical solutions and automated processes to meet the needs of the market with the aim of working more and more quickly and possibly even unattended.

The machine fulfils the hypothesized technical characteristics and has met customers’ interest.

The machine is particularly dedicated to working with a very short cycle time (3/4 pcs per minute) but it needs special attention both for dragging and for non-deformation of the piece during the cycle.

The video on the website clearly demonstrates the working process and the automatisms present.

The machine can be completed with a robotic arm (optional) for the complete production cycle, workpiece load, machining, workpiece discharge, without human intervention.
